Simpsons' Wine Estate is thrilled to be hosting a very special wine dinner with Hide and Fox this autumn. We are pleased and proud to be continuing such a wonderful friendship and working partnership with this incredible restaurant, which is located in Saltwood, near Hythe, Kent, and has very deservedly achieved its second Michelin star.
Chef Patron, Allister Barsby, and fellow Owner, Alice Bussi, are joining us to present a delicious five course dinner, showcasing local ingredients and masterful cooking, coming together to create superb dishes, each perfectly paired with a different Simpsons' wine. Allister’s innovative take on classic British and European food is informed by a love of fresh seasonal produce, his roots on the Kent coast, and in-depth experience as an award-winning chef. Alice has made waves of her own both as a sommelier and manager, and together they have created Hide and Fox to deliver truly exceptional dining.
This exclusive event starts at 4pm, with your hosts from Simpsons’ taking you for a gentle stroll through the beautiful village of Barham to our nearby, idyllic Roman Road Vineyard. Here you will enjoy a glass of our award-winning sparkling wine, whilst hearing about the establishment of our Estate and special vineyard sites.
Once back at the Winery, you will ascend to the elegant Glass House Tasting Room, where you will be poured another exquisite sparkling wine from our range, accompanied by appetisers. Afterwards, we will adjourn to the atmospheric 'Red Winemaking Quarter' in our cellar, where Hide and Fox will present five exquisite dishes, each to be enjoyed with a paired wine from Simpsons’ Wine Estate.
This is a rare opportunity to revel in cuisine of exceptional quality from one of the top restaurants in Kent, and also the UK, whilst sipping carefully crafted wines from one of the world’s most exciting wine regions, all in the unique surroundings of the Estate and hosted by members of the Simpsons’ team.

The Glass House Tasting Room is situated up two flights of stairs. Please do contact our Events Team to discuss any accessibility arrangements prior to your visit.

Our office business hours are 9am -5pm, during which time cellar door wine purchases can be made and ‘Click and Collect’ orders can be collected. All Tasting Experiences do require reservation in advance on our website HERE or by telephone on 01227 832200.
You will find the entrance to Simpsons’ Wine Estate on Church Lane, directly opposite St John the Baptist Church in Barham. We are a 15-minute drive from Canterbury and directions can be found HERE.

Parking
Ample onsite parking is available to our guests, with easy drop off and collection from the winery. We regret however that overnight parking is not available.
Accessibility
Simpsons’ Wine Estate is committed to providing equal access for all visitors, to ensure that they can enjoy and fully participate in the experiences that we offer. To this end, please see below for our current accessibility guidelines:-

* Access to toilets is on ground floor, including a unisex accessible toilet
* Our Winery is all on one level for tours, with all doorways suitable for wheelchair users
* All internal areas are well lit and pen and paper is available from staff to assist with communication if required
* Please note that access to the Glass House Tasting Room is up 2 flights of stairs

Children and Dogs
Our tasting experiences and vineyard tours both involve visiting our working winery and feature a guided wine tasting, so are not suitable for children. All events are for over 18’s only. We are sorry, but we do not allow dogs at the Estate, except for registered assistance dogs accompanying visitors with accessibility requirements.

Cancellations
If you are unable to attend a scheduled booking, tickets can be exchanged or refunded at our discretion. Any request for a refund or transfer must be made in writing, directed to theglasshouse@simpsonswine.com . If we have to cancel your booking for any reason, you will be entitled to a full refund of the purchase price.
