Tasting Notes

This delightful Chardonnay displays delicate aromas of white melon and orange blossom, with superb mouth-watering minerality, citrus peel, quince and fresh green apple flavours and a lingering, textured palate.

Technical Details

Grape Variety: 100% Chardonnay

Alcohol: 12.5% Vol

Harvesting & Vinification: Burgundian Chardonnay clones 96 and 548 were carefully harvested from the Roman Road and Railway Hill vineyards. The grapes were then gently pressed and the juice was cold settled for 24 hours. Once racked, the juice was inoculated with aromatic yeasts.

Fermentation & Ageing: The wine underwent a partial malolactic fermentation to soften the acidity and increase mouthfeel. The wine was aged on fine yeast lees prior to bottling in spring 2023.

Reviews

“Alive with vibrancy, this pristine unoaked Chardonnay is a flashlight in a bottle. Move over, Chablis."

Olly Smith

" This is sharp as tack, bright and breezy and for lovers of Chablis; no need to cross the channel for good, cool climate Chardonnay, it's here in Kent. Tremendous with seafood such as bivalves, soft cheeses as well as fatty fish such as salmon, sea trout and mackerel."

Clive Barlow M.W.
