Mikaël Grou won the title of The International Gaggenau Sommelier in 2018 and became the brand's global cultural ambassador. As part of his prize, he received an exclusive mentoring day at Simpsons’ Wine Estate.
Mikaël toured the vineyards and state-of-the-art winery with co-founder Ruth Simpson, accompanied by Sarah Abbott, Master of Wine, who had been on the judging panel for the award. Mikaël's experience at the Estate culminated with a tutored tasting of the vineyard’s portfolio of still and sparkling wines.
