The Wine Garden of England is made up of seven Kent wine producers: Biddenden, Chapel Down, Domaine Evremond, Gusbourne, Hush Heath, Simpsons Wine Estate and Squerryes.
This friendly collective was formed to promote Kent with its superb quality wines and the county’s unique and prized terroir, to both the wine trade and the wider consumer market locally, nationally and internationally. In addition, the proactive producers group aims to create a world-class wine trail that promotes tourism to the county, in partnership with Visit Kent.
On Saturday 17th November 2018, the inaugural Wine Garden of England Festival will take place at Rochester Cathedral, where you are invited to sip, share and discover the stories behind some of England’s finest wines.
During timed sessions throughout the day, ticket holders will meet the expert winemakers, sample up to 30 premium English wines and learn more about Kent's very own pioneers. There will also be the opportunity to purchase and take home a range of top still and sparkling wines from the Wine Garden of England partner vineyards. From the large-scale producers to boutique wineries, the full scale of English wine production will be represented at this exciting new festival.
Hosted by the Dean and Chapter of Rochester and the Wine Garden of England partnership, this ticketed event will be the first public outing for the Kentish wine partnership.
