On Saturday 18 June 2022 we were delighted to host our first summertime Open House event. This coincided with our English Wine Week celebrations and it was wonderful to be able to open our doors and share our wines and story with new visitors and old friends alike.
Our Open House Events always prove popular and, once again, were absolutely amazed by the attendance and support for this special event, particularly as the proceeds from the ticket sales went to our chosen local charity, Demelza Hospice Care for Children. Plus it gave us the opportunity to champion some of our wonderful local partners and to come together to create a fun and informative day.
We are pleased and proud to announce that the total raised for Demelza Hospice Care for Children from our English Wine Week Open House Event is £740.00.
We were very grateful to the Demelza team for their presence at the event to continue to raise awareness of the hospice and the vital work they carry out.

We would also like to raise a glass to everyone who attended and donated. We look forward to supporting Demelza again this year with our Christmas Open House event in November.
Additionally, we would like to extend our thanks to three fantastic local suppliers, who joined our Open House Event to make it even more special. The marvellous Macknade joined in the celebrations and, alongside samples of delicious local produce for guests to enjoy, they brought a Big Green Egg BBQ and cooked up some tasty street food, which added to the festival atmosphere.
Annie Brown Aromathérapie presented her boutique cosmetics, which are crafted using locally-sourced products, including lees from our winery to make her rustic Pinot Noir soap.
Barretts Jaguar Land Rover provided two of their latest luxurious four-wheel drives for VIP visits to our newly planted Bonny Bush Hill Vineyard, which proved to be exceptionally popular.
In addition to our exquisite English wines, we had the pleasure of pouring the range from our southern French sister estate, Domaine Sainte Rose.
Plus our Summer Gifting Collection was launched at the event, including our still and sparkling wine gift hampers.
The Q Class 2020 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir magnums wines were also available to taste and purchase on the day and received a fantastic reception by our visitors.

Demelza Hospice Care for Children provides support across the South East for over 600 children with serious or terminal conditions.
The charity has two beautiful hospices and provide a range of community-based support in the home, as well as a programme of online activities. Their end of life care for children and young people, and bereavement support for family members of all ages, is available to all.
