Last week heralded a momentous week for the English Wine industry, with an array of events taking place, both locally and nationally, to celebrate English Wine Week.

During this week Simpsons Wine Estate hosted its first Tour and Tasting event, which proved to be a tremendous success. The group took a walking tour through the picturesque Roman Road Vineyard, enjoying the fresh air and countryside views across the valley, listening to an informal yet informative insight into the Simpsons’ story and of the processes involved in the care and cultivation of the vines.

The group returned to the winery to continue the tour, which concluded with a guided tasting of wines from Domaine de Sainte Rose, the Simpsons’ sister Estate in Southern France, accompanied by a delicious charcuterie board.  It was a relaxed and enjoyable experience for all and, with the positive reviews received, we look forward to welcoming the next group of visitors on Saturday 17th June.
