It has been an exciting and momentous year already for Simpsons Wine Estate with 10 more hectares of vines being planted in May and our grant application for the winery development also being accepted and approved. As a result of this grant offer the summer is proving to be extremely busy with conversion work well underway at our agricultural buildings in Barham and large pieces of expensive equipment being delivered! The floor in the primary fermentation building has been re-concreted with an integral drainage system and insulation panels have been installed on the roof and wall. The Bucher Vaslin XPlus50 Inertys Press & conveyor have been delivered and installed and 34 Letina tanks have been delivered and are being installed along with the VinPilot refrigeration system. Next on the agenda will be the installation of an underground waste water tank that links to the drainage system and delivery of pumps, hoses and other miscellaneous vinification equipment, including the high tech OenoFoss laboratory analyses tool.
