The idyllic 2020 harvest conditions, together with an outstanding parcel of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir on the Railway Hill Vineyard site, presented the perfect opportunity to push the boundaries of world class still wine production.
The Simpsons’ Railway Hill Vineyard is so called because the Canterbury to Folkestone light railway passed through this site in the late 19th and first half of the 20th Century. The Q Class engines, which traversed this line, were powerful yet elegant, qualities that are exemplified in these wines.
We hope this range will herald a golden era for still English winemaking.

Q CLASS CHARDONNAY 2020
This limited edition, super premium, still white wine was meticulously crafted from the most concentrated, sun-ripened fruit that was hand-picked during the exceptional 2020 vintage.
Aged in French oak barrels to enhance its opulent texture, the Q Class Chardonnay displays tropical fruit aromas of pineapple & lime, leading to luxurious flavours of caramel, butterscotch and macadamia nut, ending with an intense, lingering finish.

Q CLASS PINOT NOIR 2020
This limited edition, super premium, still red wine was meticulously crafted from the most concentrated, sun-ripened fruit that was hand-picked during the exceptional 2020 vintage.
Aged in French oak barrels to enhance its velvety tannins, the Q Class Pinot Noir has power and intensity. It displays dark fruit notes of damson and blackcurrant, with hints of exotic spice and Darjeeling tea, leading to a smooth, luxurious finish.
